Here is some examples of frequently asked questions:

Q: What should I expect during and after my first massage therapy visit?

A: Your therapist will ask your disclaimer before he starts to palpate ( touch) your body. He also will ask you to communicate by asking how comfortable the pressure of your massage is. A full-body massage therapy includes your arms, legs, feet, back, neck and buttocks. You can say which parts of your body you don’t want to be touched.

Q: what do you wear for a massage treatment ?
A: Depends on what type of treatment you will be having.If it’s Reflexology ,the only clothing to be removed is socks/tights and your shoes . If it’s full body massage , typically your therapist will ask you to undress to your level of comfort. Many people prefer to keep their underwear on during a session, while others prefer to be nude.Your comfort is paramount.

Q: How many sessions will I need?
A: Typically if you’re presenting complaint for sometime, it will take more than one or two treatment ,which it will be discussed during your initial consultation.

Q: How will I feel after the treatment ?
A: Depending on an individual, some people may experience muscle soreness which usually lasts no longer than 48 hours, after having a sports injuries , deep tissue massage or medical acupuncture treatment.

Q: Can I eat before or after a massage treatment?
A: The body needs time to digest your food. It is best not to eat for at least two hours before your treatment.After the treatment have something light and stay hydrated.

Q: Why deep tissue massage hurt but feel so good?
A: Your therapist’s touch causes reaction in your brain. As soon as your skin nerve cells feels pressure , the brain releases feel-good chemicals called endorphins, which boost your mood and pain diminishes.
